The guide shoe is a sliding guiding device between the guide rail of elevator components and the car or counterweight. The elevator components can stabilize the car or counterweight on the guide rail, so that it can only move up and down, so as to prevent the car or counterweight from deflecting or swinging in operation. The upper part of the guide shoe can also be equipped with an oil cup to reduce the friction between the boot lining and the guide rail.

The guide shoe of elevator components is composed of shoe lining, guide shoe body and guide shoe seat. The elevator components can be divided into rolling guide shoe and sliding guide shoe series. The sliding guide shoe can also be divided into fixed sliding guide shoe and elastic sliding guide shoe. Generally, elevator parts are suitable for medium, high and low speed elevators.

Guide shoe installation shall meet the following requirements:

A. After the upper and lower guide shoes are installed in place, they should be on the same vertical line, and no skew or deflection is allowed to ensure that the upper and lower guide shoes are aligned with the three points of the safety jaw center;

B. The fixed guide shoes are mainly used for freight elevators. The clearance between the two sides should be consistent, and the gap between the lining and the top surface of the track should be 0.5-2mm.
